On Sunday, June 10, the Sandbar at Jetties Beach is making conservation cool with the Natural Resources FUNdraiser. The event will educate and raise awareness of the various programs Natural Resources facilitates for preservation and conservation of the natural beauty and life on our far away island. Score a hole in one with charity and fun at The 25th Annual Sam Sylvia Pro-Am Golf Tournament. The opening cocktail party will take place on Sunday, June 10 at the Sankaty Head Golf Club and will include live and silent auctions. Be sure to catch the annual Golf Ball Drop, and then practice your backswing for the tournament the following morning on Monday, June 11. The Artists Association of Nantucket will be hosting the seventh annual Plein Air Nantucket, a plein air painting festival. Running from Tuesday, June 12 — Sunday, June 17, the festival will conclude with a reception and presentation of the Frank Swift Chase Awards on Sunday, June 17, at 6 P.M. at the Cecelia Joyce & Seward Johnson Gallery. Plein Air Nantucket is open to all artists, at any skill level, who wish to paint in the fresh air and pristine scenery of the island, and enjoy the camaraderie of painting with peers.
